This is the cookie that launched it all—our Helen of Troy. Created from the finest ingredients, this original small batch recipe (circa 1982) reinvented the cookie, loading it generously with chunks of the finest Belgian dark chocolate.

The Classic was the first cookie out of the oven in 1983 when George opened his flagship store on Denman Street, Vancouver, with this warning: ‘Just when you thought it was safe to let your sweet tooth wander the streets, Cookies By George is now open.’

George’s motto is simple: “Carpe Cookie (Seize the Cookie)"
