All of our locations bake their cookies fresh in store daily!
We make our cookie dough in our production facilities at our head office in Edmonton, AB. All of our cookie dough is made from scratch (yes, by hand!) in small batch recipes—the same original recipes from 1983. We use only natural ingredients, high quality Valrhona chocolate, and there are no preservatives in our cookies.
When kept in a tightly sealed container, our cookies stay fresh for 3 to 7 days, but we suggest eating them sooner! Since our cookies do not contain any preservatives, it‘s best not to leave them out in the open for too long. If you wish to keep your cookies for longer, you can put them in an airtight container and freeze them for up to approx. 6 months. Our cookies will thaw within 15-20 minutes at room temperature, or you can pop them in the microwave for 10-15 seconds and they’ll be delicious! Please do not refrigerate our cookies, as it will cause them to dry out and crumble easily.
If you have a peanut or nut allergy, we offer a number of nut-free cookies. If you order an assortment of cookies, please select the no nuts option or instruct us to omit any cookies with nuts or peanuts. While we make every effort to reduce the chance of cross-contamination between our cookies, we cannot 100% guarantee that there are no traces of nuts/nut oils because we have nuts in our facility. For all other allergies and dietary restrictions, please refer to our cookies’ specific page for a list of ingredients and allergens. We do not currently have any sugar-free cookies. Our only gluten-free and vegan cookie is our Macaroon.
"Club George" is our in-store customer loyalty program. When you purchase baked goods from any of our retail locations, you can receive a stamp on your Cookie Card for each cookie purchased up to a maximum of 6 stamps per transaction. Once you collect 12 stamps, you are entitled to one free cookie. We also have Coffee Cards and Espresso Cards available at select locations. Why a maximum of six stamps? Our current pricing structure already has an incentive for buying six or more through a price discount. Each store should have the stamping policy posted at the till. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our stamping policy or if the store you visited did not have the stamping policy posted, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We have discontinued our FCP program. For customers who had over 500 FCPs on their account, we can offer you equivalent discounts in lieu of the suspended FCPs. Please contact our head office at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 1-866-743-6743 for assistance.

The sooner the better is always our recommendation! Orders can be placed up to 6 months in advance of your desired delivery or pickup date. If you need a delivery in the morning (prior to 12:00 PM), rush delivery charges may apply.
Same day deliveries may be available in cities where we have store locations depending on the size of your order, the delivery address, and the time the order is being placed. Typically, orders placed before 10:00 AM local time can be sent out the same day. Please note that during busy seasonal times, same-day delivery may not be available.
For areas where we offer delivery via a local courier, the delivery charge is added to our product prices. We also offer Saskatoon a special delivery rate. For all other postal zones, we deliver via FedEx, Purolator, or Canada Post. Any applicable additional delivery charges are calculated during checkout for these areas.

If you check off the Arrange Delivery option, we will call your recipient to discuss delivery. Your order will be sent out ONLY AFTER WE ARRANGE DELIVERY WITH THE RECIPIENT. If we cannot reach your recipient within a few days of calling, we will contact you for an alternative contact method or for instructions on how to proceed. Please note that all deliveries to apartments and condominiums with security doors or barriers require us to call the recipient in advance. If your recipient has a concierge available, or they live in a shared residence building accessible to the public without a code or buzzer, please let us know in the delivery instructions.
If you check off the Leave At Door option, our courier will leave the gift by the door after attempting a direct delivery first. Please note that for most apartments, condominiums, and shared residence buildings, we cannot leave gifts at the door due to security purposes. Please use your discretion when choosing to leave gifts at the door. We are not responsible for any gifts that are stolen after delivery. Cookies By George reserves the right to call a recipient if we anticipate delivery issues or if we have concerns regarding the delivery address.
For web orders, an order confirmation is sent out automatically after your order is successfully placed. This confirmation also doubles as the receipt. Please make sure you enter your email address correctly during checkout! If you have checked your email (include junk/spam folders) and cannot find the order confirmation, please feel free to call us at 1-866-743-6743 to see if your order went through or request a receipt. For orders phoned in to a store, please contact the store you ordered with directly for any order confirmations and receipts.

In order to receive tracking updates on your order, please authorize text notifications upon checkout. Some delivery cities (ex. Regina) do not offer local order tracking at this time. We will always do our very best to make sure that your gift is delivered on time and as you requested. There are occasions where a mistake is made or something out of our control delays the delivery of your gift. If an error does occur, we will always do our best to make things right with you. Each concern is dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Since we do not guarantee the delivery date, we cannot guarantee a credit if there is a delivery delay. We hold sales on specific items throughout the year, as advertised on our website and social media. We occasionally offer coupons at our stores. Cookies can also be ordered in bulk for a slight discount, which is built into our pricing structure. We also offer a 10% discount for verified AMA Members. For eligible individuals, please register an account with us, sign in, and enter your AMA membership number in the "My Account" page. The discount will then be applied automatically to all orders placed while signed into your account.
We have an assortment of unique cookie gifts and products available at various times throughout the year, including: cookies in customized packaging, loafers, tea biscuits, cakes, and bagels, catering trays, coffee and tea, lunch boxes, cookie jars, and more! Certain products may only be available for local pickup or delivery. We are currently unable to accommodate order additions such as cookiegrams, image/logo art on cookies, balloons, and personal gifts. We do not sell raw or frozen cookie dough. Personal cards can be delivered with your gift on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us if you would like to arrange a drop off of a personal card.
We deliver throughout Canada via various local couriers and via FedEx, Purolator, and Canada Post. We can also deliver to most states in the USA via FedEx International Priority. While we can deliver to almost any Canadian or USA address, there may be postal/courier service limitations at the destination that are beyond our control (including customs delays for USA deliveries). As our cookies are perishable, we strongly advise you to contact your recipient or any hosting company/organization of your recipient to inquire about how they receive deliveries if you are concerned about your delivery encountering problems.
Deliveries to PO Boxes are only possible via Canada Post. Please be warned that we are not responsible for how Canada Post contacts PO box owners regarding parcels for them and we cannot offer a refund or redelivery for cookies that are not picked up from a PO box in a timely manner.
We can deliver to hotel visitors and hospital patients but we are unable to offer any compensation or refunds if the recipient has checked out by the time your gift is delivered. We advise selecting an early delivery date in case there are any delays with the hotel/hospital staff delivering your gift to the right room or department after receiving delivery. For deliveries to hospitals, please note if the recipient is a patient or a staff member and include as much information as you can, such as the building name, ward, room and floor number, department, etc. For deliveries to hotels, please note whether the delivery is going to a guest or the staff and include as much information as you can, such as check-in and check-out dates, room number, if they are with a group or under a company name, etc.
Delivery charges depend on the postal/zip code and the weight of the gift. Our local delivery charge is $14 and applies to postal codes in Edmonton, Calgary, Regina, and Winnipeg. Central Vancouver requires an additional $1 charge. These costs are included in our gift prices when you enter a postal code corresponding to each location. For all other postal zones, additional delivery charges are calculated during checkout.
The delivery cost is determined by postal code and based on what our courier charges us. Deliveries to cities without a local Cookies By George store are rated by the postal/zip code and the weight of the gift. As our cookies are baked fresh and do not contain preservatives, we often use the quickest shipping method offered by our couriers (within a reasonable cost) to ensure your cookies arrive as fresh as possible.
Delivery date availability varies depending on the destination. You can choose among our available delivery dates for your postal/zip code on the calendar prior to checkout. We do not offer delivery on statutory holidays. Please note that we are unable to 100% guarantee that gifts will be delivered on your chosen delivery date for out-of-town delivery addresses.
Our typical delivery window is between 12PM to 5PM on weekdays for local deliveries. If you would like delivery during a specific time frame, you may write your request in the delivery instructions and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Please note that for out-of-town deliveries, we cannot guarantee our courier will deliver within specific time windows.
For business addresses, your order can be received by a coworker or a receptionist. The order may also be left in care of a mailroom, receiving department, or security desk depending on the receiving policies of the delivery address. For residential addresses, most of our couriers will leave your order at the door if no one answers the door. Canada Post may deliver to a community mail box. For apartments, condos and other shared residence buildings, gifts can only be left with a concierge. If our courier is unable to deliver a gift, or they decide that it is not secure to leave the gift at the door, the gift will be held with our courier’s nearest depot or returned to a local store. If we do not have sufficient delivery instructions or if the recipient is not available to receive the gift, you will be responsible for any additional charges due to multiple delivery attempts.
